New ones are about that much. Probably cheaper if you hunt for deals.
A new 395 is cheaper. I have bought 8 of them in the last 16 months. Some prefer the 394 though

394 is long gone. I asked him like 2 years ago... I bought a 660 from him instead... I'm sure you remember trolling my post when I was trying to sell that thing.......... welcome back....

Dang just let the guy sell his saw. If your not interested in it then why even comment? Who cares what new saw cost?? It’s his let him price and sell it. Move on, grow up and get a life. Don’t care how long ya been on here and if ya have no life and stare at this forum and a couple others all day, day in and day out move on.

Who cares?? Do you have any interest in buying his 394? Didn’t think so,,,so move on. Go mow the dang yard or run to Walmart or something. Not one comment from you showing any interest so all your above comments have nothing to do with this thread. I for one have interest in his saw and that is the only reason for me checking in on it and all I read is crap from people who have no interest in buying it.

Whoah buddy, think about it for a second. Selling a used saw for new saw price. It's not like it's cherry, discontinued or not.

Well, I see people selling junk non running 394s for $500 and in worse shape. For $300 more I think its fair. I'm not desperate for cash, so it can sit on the shelf for now.. I do get a lol when people compare this to a 395..
I agree with Poulan Hunter, leave it be. At least the seller has put a price on it and is not doing the "taking offers" bs. Prices on everything is up, who knows what saws are going for in your neck of the woods.
The 395 is just the newer updated version. Arguably it fixed some of the 394xp short comings. Pretty easy to swap topends and since it's like hens teeth to find a good 394 top end, you pretty much end up with a 395 when it needs fixed any way. I like mine for mill use, but it just sits. Just ignore bill. Good luck with your sale.
