There seems to be a rekindled interest in Stihl Contra's as of late, so I thought a few shots of the "Family Reunion" would be in order.
Enjoy!

I know at least two Costa Rican farmers who would see that pile of Contras and accuse you of being obscenely wealthy. At least I agree with the 'obscenely' part...

The value of the Contra/Lightnings on the AS collectors stock exchange dropped significantly after viewing those pics . I agree with Jacob's 'obscene' comment, LOL.

That Contra gear drive, as well as the very early steel hood contra, are awesome...:jawdrop:

You have a fine collection

It's great to see these pics again and by chance I received today a dealer book produced to celebrate the 75th year of Stihl and was reading that in two years they produced 200.000 Contra's and that in 1961 the factory had to charter frieght planes to meet demand in USA and Canada.
Thanks for reposting.
Iam hoping to expand my own little family after being offered one Contra and four Contra's in bits, don't know which models or years but I almost offered to help the German guy on his long distance truck drive just to find out faster !
