Hey guys,
After searching all of the threads on here and trying my hardest to find a solution to my stubborn 026 not starting I’ve decided to make a post and ask for help
I’ve had this 026 for about a year now and it ran fine but would get hot after use and not start so I let it sit for about...
I’ve got two broken saws I’m trying to make one out of. Ones the old style piston and cylinder and ones newer I guess. The crankcase is older I have a new and old cylinder and a newer piston. I think I only need an old style piston to make it work but I cant figure out wich one that is. Can...
Ok gang, I currently have a 201tc and a 310 looking to upgrade from the 310. It’s between the 261c-m or the 362 c-m. Would like to stay in the 18-20” bar range. I ran a 20 on the 310 with Stihl yellow chain. Lots of ash and maple here, few oaks and walnut nothing bigger than 20” diameter really...
Hey everyone,
I have a 361 that I bought used about 5 years ago. I use it 2-3 times a year without issue. This year I started it up for the first time, first cut went fine/ran perfect...second went a little slow. Third bogged down and stopped. I started it again...died after 15 seconds and...
Hey gang,
Picked up a new project saw the other day. Was told it’s an 066 but looks to me like a 660? Also what’s everyone’s thoughts on decomp deletes and how do you go about it?
Cheers
I’m looking for some thoughts about a two-saw plan. I heat partially but not exclusively with wood, and I help a couple of friends with maintenance on their property (260 acres of fields and hardwoods). My primary uses are bucking trunks and limbs as well as cutting trails.
Right now, I have...
Tell me the saws you hate!
For me, I hate my MS 170 ( for anything other than carving ) because it is underpowered for firewood, and my 1999 Husquvarna 340 because it is a heavy fuel chugger and does nothing my 261 can't do 100 times better.
My favorite is my MS 194 C ( rear handle version )...
I HAVE A STIHL POLE PRUNER, 4 STROKE, WHEN YOU GO VERTICAL WITH THE BOOM, IN A COUPLE OF SECONDS THE ENGINE DIES AND WHEN LEVEL AGAIN, IT WILL START RIGHT UP. IT HAS
A NEW CARB AND I DID PRESSURE/SUCTION TEST THE CYLINDER. SEALS DID NOT LEAK WITH PRESSURE OR VACUUM.
I'm 13 and in an hour and a half with my GTA 26, MS 170, and a couple of other things
( PPE included ) I took down this 15 foot tree over a house and patio full of expensesive furniture. How did I do?
I picked up this little saw today for firewood cutting because I will be using my rear handle 194 for carving once all of my kit arrives. WCS dogs are on the way for the 170 though.
