I tore a saw down that had quite a bit of endplay in the crank. I expected ballbearings but they are roller bearings. Are new crank bearings going to tighten up the endplay? They don't have any up and down slop, just side to side. I think I may just throw it back together.

The end play is normal... as it a sight lateral play.. That's why they have different seals to deep roller bearing'ed saws.

I'd put it back togther..

good deal, im going to get some new seals and a gasket and see what happens.

Make sure you put the seals in the correct way. The "inner membrane" should stretch from Deeper inside side to outside.. hard to describe..

yah I know what your talking about.

The case splitting tools that stihl has, which holes on the 2 round plates does the 1129/ 020 use? I don't really need it cause things slide together easy. Just wondered..

I had a list of what saws each ones went to but im not sure where it went.
