What is this with the red arrow?? I am finally attempting to clean/maintain my saws - this thing won't stop spitting out gas.

What is it?? Any solutions??

BTW - aw starts, runs a little, wants to die when throttled.

3.5 yr old saw w/almost daily use.

Is it cashed??

Thanks

Nate

the most common problem with that saw is the gas pick-up tube shrinks and the gas leaks from were the tube goes through the tank. marty

vent

Yep, tank vent is right on the money. Replace the flat check valve inside the tank and the filter (why, I don't know), and the cover. Will cure the gas all over the tank blues. Stuff burns your leg too.

treetx,
i did not see your red arrow the first time i read your post. yes, there was a problem with the vents on these saws. let us not forget the problem with the spark arrestor plugging(not realitive but as long as we are talking about 020t,200t saws). marty

Thanks for the help. I have come to the realization that my relationship with this saw has been very fruitful and rewarding, but maybe it is time for me to move on and start a relationship with a new saw.

This saw has issues. No spark arrestor. It pops when pulled but is almost impossible to run. Just trails off. Air filter is clean.

I have a cs3400 that gets the job done but not like the 020T. I climbed with the 044 today.

Any place cheaper than another for a ms200?

Thanks again for all the help -

Nate
