025 Stihl. What bar and chain to get?

Ok Andy, lemme ask you this, Is a stock (muff modded) 026 pro too much for a 16" 3/8 picco?

NOPE!!! I'm not Andy and I type slow but I have a bunch of 026 and two 024 that loves that setup...not for felling but the work for hard/soft firewood up to 12+ inch.

cool, I'm rebuilding a 026 pro I got off Boston Bull and had this setup in mind for it. Thanks! now to find a small spline 3/8 picco rim.....

Only in the USA Stihl once offered it in Picco with a 20 inch bar..

Dont listen to the folks that don't own a good STIHL 025-MS250!!! Run a 16'' stihl .325 RS chain on it and it will cut like a muther f###er and be happy!!!

Yep! It's standard on the 023

Stihl doesn't offer it on the MS250 in the USA though as the HP of the saw "exceeds their rating for Picco"... but I know of some that mill with it on 066's.. Lawyers...

PMX on the 660 is a standard option here - I think they sell more of those (Logosol variant) than the regular ones......

I firmly believe that 8-pin .325 NK will perform better, Oregon Micro-Lite Pro and 95VP.
