hi, guy`s sorry about the lack of info that was my first time, any way i have got a few stihl saws from e-bay,and just rebuilding them, i build racing 2-cycle go kart motors on the side for years,so i do know 2-cyclesany way where can i find piston and rings,and cyl. for a good price,i just piped a husky 50 rancher i got and it sounds good!,i put 2 .625 tubes in it ,i have heard you all talking about it so i had to try it,

Have you checked ebay, they are on there sometimes, sometimes the price is good and somtimes its rediculous

I would check with RupeDoggy and Chainsawworld on this site, they have pretty nice inventories also

Scour e-bay, a brand new 024 piston/jug just went for $62.00. I beleive you can put the top end of an 026 on an 024 others may be able to shed more light on that though. 028 stuff may be harder to find a deal on because it's such a highly regarded saw.

The 028 and 038 have many common components. You might be able to use and 038 jug and piston on an 028 crank
