My 036 just started sticking once in a while at WOT. It happened once last week and 2 or three times today. Every time it has happened it has been after cutting thru a very large tree where my bar (20 inch) just barley gets half way thru. It goes back to idle when I hit the trigger several times but if you are not ready for this it will freak ya out. I have not torn it apart at all and was hoping someone has heard of this happening and can fill me in on what is happening. The saw is well maintained, clean, running strong and nothing has happened to it that would have bent the throttle linkage. Any one been here had this happen? What do I need to do?

zcould you carb have iced? Even if it is above freezing, some humidity and the cooling efect of the fuel can freez the plate open or build up some ice which can break off and drop into the carb and stall the saw.

I don't know how that saw is set-up so this may not be applicable, but my 955 will do that occasionally when the throttle rod gets stuck in the rubber boot going into the carb housing. It isn't the original boot for it, and is a little bit too tight, so occasionally it will hang up. I just keep a little grease on it and it is usually fine.

I got it fixed, Turns out the shaft that comes out of the carb that connects to the linkage need lubricated, it took less time to figure this out than it took me to type my question. Thanks for your suggestions
