Hello, i just started rebuilding this carb and the new diaphragm doesn't have a notch that slides into the lever arm like the other diaphragm. Is it ok to just set the diaphragm on top of the lever arm without it being connected to the lever or does the diaphragm need to have a notch on the bottom to hook to the lever arm? The kit even came with a new lever and this diaphragm so I'm not sure if it's the wrong one.
This is the first time I've done this so I'm not super knowledgeable.
The photo is of the new diaphragm. The old one instead of having a solid button shape has a notch to lock on to the lever.
