044 oil pump spacer oring to crank shaft

Hi all
Pulled my 044 down to replace leaking clutch side crank seal
The spacer that the inner lip of the seal rides on had an o ring on early 044’s
Where can I get one?
Anyone found the work around for this?

Just put some high temp grease in around the seal and inside the spacer lip. Then put it back together.
Hopefully others will chime in.

Yeah reading about this problem it seems that the o ring was dropped and some heavy grease used instead. I can’t see heavy grease holding up esp under temp.
What about some high temp sealant between part 11 and the crank?

Any kind of grease or sealant will work. The clutch tightened in place will also help seal it up
