Can someone confirm that the 064 and 066 tke the same seals and bearings? I've got a pretty old 064 and need to make sure that the early ones dont have different part numbers.

thanks

Jim

Not according to my Stihl dealers parts manual. If I read it correctly it looks like good old Stihl, true to form ,changed things somewhere along the way.Unless of course the earlier numbers were superceded by later ones, which often times is the case.

You just as well trot on down to the local dealer and check it out because the danged things are OEM.In other words the only place you can get them is through Stihl because they own the rights to them,a neat little trick that most German manufactures have done for decades.

Check this out I wll look up the 064# in a few minutes

The bearings were the same between the 064 and 066 flywheel side PN# 9503-003-6676
clutch side 9523-003-4555,,,, according to media cat some of the early model 066's had a smaller seal on the flywheel side,,, I have the seal part #'s and dimensions in MM also if you need them,,, the very bottom set of numbers on this post are cross over #'s for the flywheel side only,,,, The clutch side bearings you have to buy from Stihl so the seals fit right

this was pulled from a similar thread BTW,,, and I saved it to a word note pad

Good Luck, River
