066 wont start

This thread is in desperate need of good news. Remember the Pic in post #20? I replaced that piston and rings with OEM parts and changed the gasket under the cylinder. Yesterday I started the engine and did some minor tune-up work. Now it runs perfectly with good acceleration and a smooth idle. Oil cap was leaking, so I replaced that and sharpened the chain. It's good to go.

Only get more diagnosis if you get a full and complete list of the symptoms.

This thread could have been made so much easier if the OP would have presented all the facts and info at the beginning, like it being a POS Hyway P&C and having other OEM carbs to try on the saw. I wanted to offer to have him send me the saw to check over, find out what’s wrong, throw an OEM P&C on it and send it back for free to get him on down the road and cutting.
