Sloppy piston if measured correctly.
That causes snow ball effect on collapsing skirts also.

Must be one noisey saw!

Not noisy yet but I tore it down because I had purchased it recently. I use bore gauges and a micrometer to measure so I sure hope I was relatively accurate!
20 thou on diameter... so I will change it before I run it again.

Well the saga continues with this saw. I recognize that OEM pistons are hard to find even used so I took a bet on an AM piston. Only ones available were the LRB and Proline piston and I decided to go with the Proline. Seems like the QC is just bad everywhere because this is what one side of the wristpin support looked like, seems like the casting die was a bit too cold and the material never welded here. There were some other small occlusions/witness marks on various places on the piston but this is not superficial. This is just junk right?

another version they sold suppose to be good.

Thank you! I am sending the other one back because that inclusion is just ridiculous. Its hard finding parts at all these days for this saw. I think once its done and good I will sell it and get a 395. PO said this saw was 100% and it had good compression but I guess I should have been more careful.

Just ordered the piston and another set of Caber rings... hopefully its decent
So they have them in stock again? They ran out when I did like 5 of them one year for a guy.

Local drops them off in parts in a box and I put them together for him.

They didn't have the one you previously purchased so I'll take a bet on the other one. What do I have to lose, if its not good I'll just put this saw into a box and wait till something quality comes around
