hey all,i run a 16" bar on my 2159 with 3/8 chain and for most jobs it"s great. i was wondering about a 20" bar?would it be better to go to .325 narrow kerf chain or should i stay with the 3/8?most of what i cut is soft wood, spruce with also bucking hardwood.btw couldn't find result i was looking for in the search. thanks lol

mine came with a 20in bar with 3/8 chain, it runs fine with it. ive had it burried in quite a few different hardwoods with no problems.

I've got two 359's, one muffler modded and one not, they do real well with 3/8ths 20" bars . You should do real well with 20", just be careful, those funny colored Huskys cut crooked due to their handle angles!:hmm3grin2orange: :hmm3grin2orange:

i guess i will be looking for a 20" bar and some 3/8 chain.i have been reading alot about the diffrent cutter styles,is this just personal preference or is some better for diffrent jobs?

Chisel for clean wood, semi-chisel for dirty wood - I suggest that you keep a mix of both styles.
