anyone found the oiler on these saws to be inefficient? seems to get clogged up with saw dust way fast and the chain dries out after a short cutting time. used a 350 before and this was never an issue.the oil screw is set to full. i'm using 15w/40w oil for car engines. its cheap basically. is this the prob?

Before somebody blames it on using motor oil as bar oiler. I have been using 10w30 in my 254xp with no problems. By any chance is the shield missing from behind the clutch?

Are you sure you have the correct tail pattern on the bar - "small Husky", as in Oregon K095.......

The 254 has no known problem with the oiler.Maybe you should clean the pump and check also if the screen is still on the strainer itself. It falls sometimes letting the dirt go the pump.
