Na. I have one too, but I bet ours are honest.

Mine has done a lot of honest work, that's for sure. It's bone stock except for a 24" bar. Which I think is a legitimate upper limit. I don't really need a big bar on a saw like this but sometimes the little bit of extra reach is nice compared to the 18" bar it came with.

If i recall the ford ranger and the 455 shared the same engineering team haha. I have a ported 60 top end on mine and a 20" full comp will pull it down easily when buried.

This thread reminds me of my 1st post on AS about a 36" bar on a echo cs-590. Long story short, I got a oregon 24" bar from frawleys instead and couldn't be happier.
I went with a 28" on one of my 590s.
It wears a full skip chain. It seems minimal use but does run well enough when needed.

Hi I'm new here and not shure if I'm posting this in the right place? But I am trying to answer a post everyone says 28 inch bar is to big for the 455. Very much not true and wrong.
It has been a month since your OP and I am wondering status?

RE: "A video example will prove your point. We would all like to see a 455 cut 36" red oak in 35 seconds."

I am also interested to see video confirming the statements you've made in this thread related to your 455 Rancher.

Also, curious as to your reasoning for running AvGas in your saw ...? Are you cutting at elevations above 10k foot level ... AvGas performs best above treeline elevation (where I live WA State ~5k-6k, or ~11,500 in Colorado), wondering what you would be cutting up there ...?

Thanks

Well that's easily answered- he is cutting down Jacks Beanstalk of course.

Appreciate your humor, but I would guess you possibly meant to say he's tree topping Jacks Beanstalk ... as that would actually be an effective use for AvGas eapecially when blended w/Unicorn oil ;-)

'Cause those that know, know 2-stroke smoke kills Covid.

Seriously though, interested in hearing from the OP on the subject matter of his posts.

Regards, (and BTW, F-JB)

Anyone looking for a laugh check out the pictures for the 250 hot saw. The entire listing is gold but it’s the staged pictures of the saw builder that put it over the top. Porters on here take note.

I’d link the pic but apparently Arboristsite only allows me to post video atm, idk
