340 is a little different animal than the 359 I would think...I have a 353 that so far will and has outcut my 359 though...

Actually I think I might like my 353 better than my 346XP.. They both have plenty of power but the 353 has a compression release, something us older gents appreciate..

Well, my parts came in this week for my 359. Non-cat muffler came in today and Zama carb came in yesterday. If I can I'm gonna try to install them tomorrow and see if they help it out...

Update: I installed both the muffler and carburetor today, both fit fine. One thing I noticed is the old carburetor had a gasket on it between it and the rubber boot and it looked like to me that the hole for the impulse was at least partially blocked by that gasket, so that may be why the saw wasn't running so well.

Yes, that's true, looks like someone got in a hurry! Right now there's no gasket on either side..but I can remedy that next time I'm in the shop. Thanks for pointing it out.
