Hi All. I Just Made A Hibrid 362/372. I Had An Almost New Top End From 362 And Put It On The Bottom End Of A 372. I Ran It For A Couple Days Everything Was Good Once I Got The Carb Adjusted.
I Was Blocking Yesterday And I Started Peaking On Me. I Tried Adjusting The Hi Speed Jet. That Didn't Help. I Brought It Home And Cleaned The Carb. No Help. Now I Think It May Be Sucking Air. How Can I Tell Where It Is Sucking It From (ie. Where Should I Look). Also I Removed Broke My Limiter Caps When Removing The Jets. Can You Tell Me What I Should Baseline The Carb Settings At. Thanks Any Help Would Be Greatly Appreciated.....

Brian, is that you?. Try spraying some carb clean around the crank seals on both sides to see if the saw races. I know a 372 and 365 bottom end are the same, are you sure the 362 is the same bottom end also? You can call husky support at 1-800-448-7543 to verify the saws are interchangeable and to get the factory carb settings. You are welcome to use my tach if you need it.........

Was the the cylinder and piston scored on the 372?
If so could it be possible that the crank seals are leaking, and the saw ran lean and scored.....

Just a thought.

I would do a pressure test.
