My GOD MAN , how many saws do you need, ken is building a redmax 5000, you want a 281 alcohool saw, and have 12 or 14 more at home and now 4 more stihl's, is this the plan, you can put 2 on your skidder and if 1 falls out and you run over it with the skidder , not a problem cause you will still have 1 left

These Quality MS290's (not Redmax JapCrap) were won by Wade Steward of BC Canada, at the Ironjack Lumberjack Competion in Alaska. Just thought I'd give the A.S. members a heads up on a good deal if anybody was wanting one, before putting them on Ebay. I'm sure glad there not Redmax(JapCrap) saws, I'd have to
give them away!

I am still waiting for someone to tell me what parts in the Redmax saw are considered to be Japcrap. I cant find them on any of the saws that I have. Will somebody please tell me what parts are crap.

The only units I've ever seen Stihl Timbersports give to winners and competitors were 044/440s, 046/460s, and 066/660s. Perhaps they're trying to imply something about the state of modern timbersports by giving away 290s?

I don't think that Big Butchman ( credit goes to Gypo for that one!!! ) wouldn't know either.

This is interesting in that there is not a good domestic chainsaw to be had.

OK Big, why would you consider a German made saw to be superior to a Japanease made saw!

Out here at the bigger stihl shows , they have a over all most points man and woman , the prize is a 260 or a stihl weedeater, which ever has the most points gets to pick which one they want
