Hey Dutch
Squezzing cows is not paying much theses day. I would like to make a offer to you for one of them 290. Would $100 get one plus shipping? Milk is only $14 a hundred and them dam acrons are falling need some thing to thin a few oaks.

This is a hard one for me to stay out of, Seems like the BD mentioned to email him and looks what happens. There's a big pattern here with dealers rights. Where is this whole dealer thing going.

Must be paranoia setting in somewhere. Ya think. This is another example of "Feathering the Nest" Compition is good, if some of you are trying to get ahead maybe you should go to Amazon and get a few books on how to conduct business and yourselves.

I'll give a few quick rules.

Keep an opened mind to change, always do your best work like it is for yourself, when dealing with compition see how you can adjust your self to work with them Never against. Burger King is always accross the street from McDonalds. When you have a good cash paying customer treat them like that, don't lie to them or try to set them back always ahead. You never know who they know or who they are going to send your way or away.
I read not to long ago in The Wall Street Journal. One pizzed off customer can play hell to the point they will send 100 people away from your door, try to resolve not defend.

WOW! Imagine the work and sales some guys would have if these principles were uniformly applied rather than on a case by case basis predicated on favoritism. They would have so much work there wouldn`t be time to worry about living up to every claim they had made in the past, their track record could simply speak for them!

I`m sure it`s alot easier though, just to pay someone to tell everyone else how great you are. Then you can appear to be credible to the newcomers to the arena or those with no memory.

Just random thoughts....

I feel that its time you look into things and take a good look at both sides, not just one.
I also think that you should take a good look around and find out what user names belong to what person. Take a good hard look at the original BD thread on the chainsaw forum and you will see that it was just to discourage people from looking at the RedMax product line. I feel that the whole thread itself is bogus and feel this one to be the same thing. Why would they do that? Think about it!
Mark
Yes there very well may be a pattern here. Most of the time I am a calm person but there has been a few people on here that ragged me the wrong way for the last time. I didn't start it but I will finish it! I am just getting started.

Dan,

I`ll look into what you are saying. As always, you can contact me off forum as well. I don`t entirely doubt that some would like to discourage others from looking at a brand other than Stihl or Husky.

If there is another side that I should be considering, please fill me in.

Russ

I told a true story and stated my opinion about the Redmax saw. Look at the thread now, all kinds of talk, opinions and what ever!
Isn't that how things are suppose to work here. Or is it Sponors can feed you a line to sell there product and you can't give your opinion back.
I started this thread to help a friend sell some saws he won. Guess what , here comes DozerDan for some revenge! He already stated he thinks my first post was to get Redmax(is he paranoid or what!) What I think about Redmax shouldn't have any affect on anything or anybody. This is not a bogus thread! I have 5 saws for sale. If you want I will post a picture of them and my Email is legit. I've answered a bunch of Emails, with prices! So
DozerDan go take some Prozak!l

Tim,
Thanks for the e-mail back. I will pass on the info you gave me to the perspective buyer. Good luck.

You should look into it Russ. It's get tiring, the sniping and petty inuendo that's been directed at Dan the last couple of months. Next thing you know Dan'll be posting as much as Art Martin, which ain't much anymore.

He is a sponsor on this site last time I checked and shouldn't have this crap thrown at him here.

Russ, don't listen to the guys from New York State, they don't know what side their bread is buttered on. LOL
With regards to the pissin' matches, maybe the 3 resident saw builders should have territories. Dan can have the Eastern seaboard, Ed can have the Great Lakes Region and Ken can have Mountain Region.
I think alot of the problem stems from oneupmanship, but this is a no brainer since most of Dan's saws go to part timers and woodticks, Ed saws go to genuine saw racers and Ken makes the one of the best saws West of the Rockies, so there is room enough to go around for everybody.
I think if Dan could shake the woodticks and hangers on and ones living vicariously thru this site, than he could probably cover more ground without trying to keep it all to himself.
Anyway, when I was in the woods today, I saw this turtle, he didn't seem to be to thrilled.

Hi Jarod, you know me, I'm always trying to still the waters, and why wouldn't I?
With what everybody is saying about each other on line, it's gotta make us wonder what they say about us behind our backs! lol.
Anywho, that snapper was a meany, but I let her go unharmed. I bet she'll never answer my mating call again, and why would she?
John

Jarod Nope I still am trying to sell the Power Ported 346xp. It is a strong saw but having 3 346xp's is way to many, not all are PP. The deal I had fell thru, someone came up with a better deal HMMM.

What a shame!

what seems weird here is we have a guy BD trying to help out a friend Wade , who has won 5 -290's, and i am sure there is a deal on them better than you can get from a stihl dealer.

BD has offered them to the people on this site and i am sure there are guys here that could use these saws but because of all the BS going on , most people donot know if this for real or a game and they are the ones that are lossing a good chance at buying a good saw

Ed- that's stretching it a bit with the term "good saw", these are 290s you're talking about after all, a model that according to Stihl's own internal memos is a "consumer grade model, not designed to last longer than 100 operational hours, and dealers are not encouraged to recondition".

Sounds like to me he's selling brand new saws, in excellent condition. If the price or the saw is not for you don't buy one.

Jacob, might you be stretching it bit too. Don't you sell "used parts" and "used saws".
