Steve here... Synthetic is the only way to go in two strokes... I run 32:1 in everthing.except my WestBend...I run Castrol 927 at 24:1
The heat problem comes from friction. Oil reduces friction.Heat and seizure are common when you have no or low oil. I can not imagine oil burning hotter then gasoline given the same amount of oxygen.
Just experimenting. So bwalker have you stopped running 2T altogether, or are you just experimenting with the HP Ultra?
What a bunch of non sense... Just about all racing two strokes use ratios of 32:1 or less.all this rich oil buisness recks saws, ????s up your compression and lowers power output.
In general this is false BTW.synthetic reduces friction more then twice as good as regular oils.
Thought I'd bring this back since the other thread is slowing down.... some things just get better with time.....Some things never change.
I wanted to report you for talking about wasting beer..... oil is one thing.... but beer??Some people like to waste their money in different ways, throwing oil when not needed down the throat of a saw designed to run on 50:1 is one of them, if you stood at your garbage bin smashing perfectly good full bottles of beer into the bottom of it, it wouldn't be long before somebody walked past & said your a "blinkin" idiot mate!
Thansk
I heard belray h1r at 32:1 is the way to go.
Your starting to get it! Less oil = more beer.I wanted to report you for talking about wasting beer..... oil is one thing.... but beer??
That stuff is removable and reusable. Better use the red...just to be safeExactly what this thread needs!
