has anybody got a 7900 in canada or do i have to go USA side to get my hands on one

well if you got them in southern ont. great but up here no one can get me one or even has info. on them
i would like to see one so i can see if i can make it work in 0 to 5 cu. class
for new saws all there is are the 372 and 460 so it would be nice to have another saw to choose from

I guess you will have to visit down here to inspect one, what would you do for parts if needed?

If you do want to purchase one from the states I would recomend either Dan Henry or Jeff Sikkema.

Or try contacting Dolmar to find the dealer nearest to you.

Ed
Do you ever answer your emails or PMS?
I sent you out some prices and pictures of the 7900 barrels.
I have plenty of the 6400,7300 and the 7900s in stock.
I am a Dolmar dealer, I also just signed up to be a dealer for Winsdor and I am also taking on the Silvey line of grinders.

thanks dan
so far what i have been told is this
in canada makita sells saws that dolmar makes but they donot have any 79 cc saws in there book
i have not had much time to check this out but after xmas i will see what is up
an yes dan did give me a great price on one

no
he brought up a 385
a 999 an his 088 we never ran his other 346 he forgot his bar
for what i can see it will take some work to make them fly but that is half the fun now
you will need the cut both ports out and put alum. blocks in
intake way to small the same on ext.

Hi Ed, it wasn't hard to fathom that the KD385 outcut the 999 or 2100, but what blows me away- and this is the absolute truth, how in the bejesus did your ( I mean mine) 346 outcut them all?
John

fuel the most
second the pipe and port timing maybe a little to do with those bush chains as you call them
i know there is more yet to come but i need to gear that little thing up
i checked the rakers on that chain we were using on the 346 with the pipe they are at .050 and you seen that the motor still had more power than i could use so i am going to put a 8 tooth on it and if that doesnot hold it down i will good to a 9 tooth
cannot believe that 45cc has that much power
as far as that chain goes it is now junk but was fun playing with it
we were cutting in the 1.1's range but i know it will go under 1 second per cut in 11 frozen harder than hell wood
you need your pipe for your 088 then you should beat me but then again maybe not it will be a race

hey john i wonder how much we can get out of one of those 357 before the crank says see ya
it could be fun

Hi Ed, you know how I am always trying to give you some saw part, bar, crank, etc., that you so gratiously give back to me. You know, like when I say I have an 090 jug, but it turns out to be a puffed 070? Well listen to this, I have a new, untouched 357 and 346 sitting in P.A. as we speak. Would that feather the nest against the 346EHP, or am I on glue?
John

just curious ,,,why is the chain shot,,on the 346 chain. did the .50,, just tear it up in the frozen wood or what. u can actually see the low rakers in the picture.

what picture
the saw is still here or did you take a picture john when i was not looking
i donot think he has a shot of my chain but you never know with him
john you are a good guy so there is no problem but we cannot let all the secrets out

well uins said the chain on the saw was shot,,i thot... i jus assumed the chain on the saw picturd was the one uas a talkin about. but u gonna have to get up purty early to outfigure this ole hayseed.. i are jus to smart fer that..
attares a 394 in a 346xp case. u ainta foolin me. thatll be the day.

i know i could not out smart you because i am not that smart
i know the chain is junk when we start to cut unfrozen wood for sure it is going to make your eyes water from jumping up and down in the cut and as far as the 346
nope she is the same size as she was coming out of the factory
