I dunno, I don't see much future for it. Granted, it's very chic and stylish and modern. That's the problem.

And...there's no Donetto dispenser, it doesn't have an attached spit cup, it doesn't make a full pint of coffee at a time, and the user obviously has to be wearing a sport coat. Not really crummy qualified.

Besides, it depends on an electrical outlet and the one in the crummy only works for the first week after it's brought in new.

In addition, it robs the crew in the crummy of the opportunity to stop for coffee. And Donettos. Not being able to stop for coffee would also keep the crew from speculating about the new clerk at the 7-11 and her grasp of social interaction...among other things. Not being able to stop for coffee would also kill the old "will the clerk have more teeth than tattoos" bet that is a tradition, especially in places like Chico, Oroville, and Red Bluff.

Nope, I'm sorry but the yuppified espresso maker probably won't catch on too well with the guys in the crummy. The fallers, now...that might be a different story. :msp_biggrin:

I guess them fuzzy Euroyuppies havn't figured out how to operate a thermos.
Too many moving parts, plus the confusion over finding the Hot and cold setting.

Stay safe!

I must live in the sticks. There aren't any coffee huts to stop at out here on the way to work.
There always were stops for beer on the way home though. Not as many of them places left now either though.

We got a couple of bikini stands up here. I hear they open early and several crummies stop morning and afternoon.

We've affectionately named the waitress at the coffee hut on the way to work 'olga'. There ain't nothing to ogle unless you're a meat and potatoes man.

I sometimes thought that adding an espresso machine to the truck would increase productivity and lift my street cred. All the boys on the crew get right around the whole think by pumping themselves full of those sugary energy drinks anyways. No culture these young guys.

Are you even living in Warshington? Packwood has two places, Randle has one, Morton has one, and so forth. The Randle one beat my retirement. I had planned to try to open one there and have coffee--and cookies. I would be Ogla....sigh.

Yes, from all the little bottles I saw down in the brush, those little energy drinks are very popular. But I heard conversation about leaving big tips, and such, at the coffee hut because she was nice to look at. No bikinis here. Sorry.

I am old school. I have a little espresso maker that goes on a stove and sometimes makes a big mess when it sprays all over....:( I don't think it would cook brussel sprouts.

Didn't know you were from Seattle

So you drive to Deming and you haven't stopped or seen the one next to the freeway by motor trucks or the one at cook rd or the one next to Sierra's mill on hwy 20.

And Slowp my favorite stand was one owned and ran by a little old lady. She would make sandwiches for ya. Reminded me of my grandmother.

If you find your nitch it would still work no matter what the help looks like. Just think if you sold replacement calks, files, wedges, tape refills, and such plus filled thermouses it might be handier to stop there. Then just name it the tail hold or something clever it would be fine.

I guess you could get coffee at the Humptulips store, probably at the Amanda Park Merc.
None of those coffee huts north of Hoquiam though.
I'd hardly feel like driving 40 miles to get a latte.
