It is a usual setup in Russia....
Troll, what size saw is the maxinium bar/power set up for that handle?
I could not imagine a 3120xp/42" like that.......:crazy1:

Looks like a great collection :rockn: - are you actually collecting new, unused saws?
YES i just started. if i had started when i first got into saws, i would have an outrageous collection by now ....oh well i guess its never to late to start
your right about the cover,the manual is in russian. i've seen PLENTY OF MELTDOWNS with the blue cover on and the owner "forgot" (regular,universal 262XP)Interesting twist.......
Btw, careful whith that blue winter-kit on the xph, read the user manual - or is that one in Russian?????.........
I think it's for when you are stuck under the ice... fire that one up, and cut your escape hole!
<Honestly I have no idea, interested though>
Could you share the reasoning behind that handle arrangement with us, or maybe it's intended usage if you know?
Chuck
A Russian poster said the configuration was to keep the operator in an upright position so they wouldn't breathe the fumes from the exhaust. Apparently, they have to dig deep holes in the snow to fell trees.
