They are great lathes.
Gallery of Machines is in the same city Monarch lathes were made I think.
Grinding is much better than it used to be.
SIP had been grinding their ways for years. Guaranteed for 10 years.
If the have that J&S for the price you quoted its a steal.
Only thing that scares me is when they say they build them better than new.
That's tall bragging from 8 rebuilding guys rebuilding that may types, brands, and models of machines.
There are little quirks to lots of machines.
That J&S is a sweetheart..........
