Turns out i had a air leak and I'm doing new seals. Just thought i would share a photo of the inside of the cylinder. Looks pretty good for being so old!
Chance of me getting the points working again is slim so this might go on the shelf in the garage and I might have a few carbs up for sale soon. Or not!

I set the flywheel on a vice with the cylinder hanging between it and tapped it off in 1 shot with a center punch. I'm guessing this thing will implode after being put back together.
