This saw has ran fine for 11 years and now no spark. It started cutting out doing some limb trimming after a storm. Then I was cutting up some 6" limbs that was already down and it would just quit for no reason. Would get it to restart after those so called PULL-ons forever lol. This saw has always started on 2nd pull. Do you think it could be just a magneto problem? Not so good with the trouble shooting yet. Thanks.

Do you have?

If you need a coil, I can help you with that. I have many for this saw here.

Ignition Module part #530069202. Does this sound to you what has went bad?

if it has points, they might have gone, but I think its an electronic ignition. if you'd like to have some, I have at least one or two of these sitting in my stockpile.

Heres what it has, Ignition Module part #530069202. Do you have any of this part#? Send me info on price + shipping if you do.Thanks.

ScottR, you seem to think of things I dont think about. then again, my truck doesnt help the situation much.

Done tried spark plug with another one that I knew worked. Maybe I should try a 3rd spark plug just in case. But I doubt it will work either.

Just an afterthought, have you checked the fuel system? you might have a plugged tank vent.

Thought of that too. But I will have to wait till after the weekend to check it. Time for 4th family fun. Tomahawk throwing, axe throwing, turkey shoots, clay pigeon shooting etc. Thanks for ideas scott too, but going to buy a Ignition Module off oldsaw just in case. I have read where that was a problem with these I guess. Must of got a good one when I got this one 11 years ago 1994, because this is the first trouble I have ever had. HAPPY 4TH TO ALL.

Took a module out of the homelite super 240 today and fired the poulan 2000 back up. Just to update what it turned out to be.
