Were looking an getting another crane and were wondering how they are holding up. Good bad or otherwise.

We have 3 Nationals and 1 Manitex between 14-40 ton. Were looking at 14-18 ton range with 60-70' of main boom. But I want to Know how they all holding up.

Wow! thats quite an arsenal you have there.

Sorry I cant really help you with your question as I'm really just a little fish, so buying a crane would be (if ever) quite a ways off.

Off the cuff though: I would think altec could build an awesome crane that should hold up well, they've been building alot of other good :censored: for a long time now. How long have they been making cranes?? this year is the first I've heard of them.

There letting us try a 23 ton modle right now

Whats the height?

I rented a 35 ton with 127' of main boom this spring (rear mounted). That thing was sick dog, we used 20' slings. $4800 gross that day. Too bad I dont run into more of those around here, it was fun and profitable too.
