Another 311Y Stihl Chainsaw. MS361?

Local Pawn shop had this for sale - listed as a "Stihl 311Y" on the tag. Of course, that's just the number on the UL or Emissions Reg tag and not any Stihl saw model number.

With tax it was $180. Starts, runs and idles like it should. It's seen some work as there is cracked cover, cracked handle and a dented muffler on it. Chain is new. The 18" Bar still looks decent - other than the paint. I'll check with what some of the parts cost to dress it up at the local dealer tomorrow, but it's usable the way it is.

I think it's a MS361?? I'll confirm at the dealer tomorrow, but I'm sure you guys can tell me before then.

Check to see if it has open or closed ports, you can probably peer down the spark plug hole and see. If its closed port its a 361.

Took it to the dealer this morning. It is a MS361. 2010 vintage.

I ordered the model tag that goes on the recoil. It's about $3.

Might order one of those aftermarket sprocket covers to replace the cracked one. Anyone buy and use one? What's the quality like? Stihl want about $55 for a new one.
