got a couple free micro poulans.. both coils dead... looking for something dumb to do with them. i'm thinking dumb as in either bigger engine.. or frigging with whats on it... or even just using the mount and going electric..

anything short of shooting it will be cool.

i'm always looking to move out saws.. makes it easier to get new ones if i can keep the number under a dozen...

LOL!

I read the thread title and was going to post "shoot them". That's what I'd do .. Not that I have anything against the saws, I just like to shoot random stuff ... TV's, broken PS1 (tough system!!), old textbooks, and wayyyyy more. That's how I roll. :lifter:

I'd lay em on their sides in front of my house alongside the road so it looks like they fell off a load of firewood. Then I'd just sit there and see how long it takes some lucky someone to find his or her treasure.

Fix them, especially if you have not fixed one before. Also, they make good filler for trading lots. It has been my experience that in large lots any desirable saw will come with at least two of those strapped to it and a condition of if you want one you have to take them all.

They also make good gifts, kind of like a fruit cake at Christmas or an apple at Halloween.

Got pics of these saws? Hook up the saw motor to a skateboard and chase down the kids on those little scooters! Are the motors too small for go-karts?

Id add a length of fishing line and yank them back into the weeds when they go to pick it up!:hmm3grin2orange:

i believe the only snag as far as running them original is the coils.. which i was told were shot. the tiny carbs look like fun to play with.. kind of like working on a model... i believe these are 25 ccs as well. if i could sync them then maybe would be worthwhile on a bike or longboard.

i'm on the penobscot river and theres usually a bass tournament here... what we do until we can get the salmon back up here...

actually.. for ice fishing.. i'll bring them.. and my super two... cut the ice with the super two.. and raise the line with the poulans!!
