Cynch-Lok

Wondering if anyone uses a cynch lok on trees. Seems really well built but a bit pricey ($400). Hardware probably last forever. Guess you get pretty much the same thing by wrapping a lanyard around the trunk twice but you cant really advance that easily. What do people think about this?

Heres another video, kinda shows the range of motion with just this lanyard.

It would work. Essentially like you said, same as double wrapping or crossing over your flipline. Smoother to advance and look like it would work really well on small diameter removals. I would like to try one out and see.

I think it would work good on slick straight trees. I usually leave some limbs a little long on the far / under lean side of the tree as I'm limbing the tree on the way up. Something to catch my rope / flip line in case I spur out bad. There are trees like some palms and some hardwoods that your flipline could slide down where the cinchlock would work great until you got to the limbs then a flipline would be less cumbersome.
But just crossing your flipline would do the same thing and cost less money
