Hello to all of you. This is my first time posting in here.
I do hope some of you will shed some answers on my questions.
I'm looking to buy a new chainsaw, a Husqvarna 390xp, but before I do it;
Is the engine of this saw still from Mahle? I believe they started production on this model in 2006. Did they kept the same tech among the years on this model? Any owners in here? (purchased one of these recently)?
thank you

Welcome to AS. The 390 is a beast of a saw. If that's what you have your heart set on then I would contact one of the site sponsers who are husky dealers and ask them your questions. they will be able to assist and possible sell you a saw at a better price than many find locally. I have a 385 that I love, so good luck with your 390.

Contact spike60 or tlandrum via pm for a good price

A 390xp would be an excellent saw for big wood and a fit individual. Plan your 50-60cc saw purchase now also. Limbing with a 385xp/390xp gets old fast.

Homeowner Helper is nothing but questions often asked elsewhere. The idea is that a new homeowner really won't know where best to post so this gives them a spot to ask a question.

I really like my 576 xp at I got from tlandrum. the 390 is to much for my old crippled bones. actually the 576 is to.
