Funeral was held at Halls Bapist Stihl shop over on 23rd St. Many gathered to see off the remains of the old 280. Hall precided over the grave, a green trash can, with a few good choice words. Something to the effect it wasn't your fault and adios, may you rust in hell,LOLOL

Wow, that sob is done:ices_rofl:

Yup yup, she died a awfull death at the hands of a operator that knew no better. I laid her to rest well though, just toss her in the can in a specailly prepared Stihl cardboard box, taped shut to keep the bugs out,LOL

But the vulture's talons are real sharp... cardboard won't keep Manual out. He already perched on the headstone. :hmm3grin2orange:

Now Tom you know its got to start off as a toy stihl saw in a diaper first, then one day it will grow to be your 361.
Now dont forget to add baby stihl to the pic later. :jawdrop:

LOL Tom! Now where is the ugly ducklings? 290 or one those aweful looking Huskys:hmm3grin2orange:

Oh no, we can't be having no inter racial babies in the Stihl family. Had a big 3120 come in and was sneaking a peak at the 280. I told the feller if he goes near her I'll shoot him,LOLOL Now I don't have a racist bone in my body but I gotta keep the Stihl family pure, its roots paved in orange and white and full of moral fiber and such,:hmm3grin2orange: :hmm3grin2orange:

I always keep a eye on Manual. I know how he is. He was here the utter day talking bout J-Reds and Huskies and all the Stihls in the back room fired up on their own. They come out the back room with chains a spinning. Last time I saw Manual he was running out the door with 25 running Stihl's chasing his hide,LOL

Back to topic, How can a relatively young Stihl saw have a manifold cracking up like that ???

Just stirring ....:hmm3grin2orange: :hmm3grin2orange:

Easily brother Belgian. The boy probly got that saw hung up and got to prying on the handle. Prying on the back handle is also prying on the entire tank housing which the manifold connects to.

I would show you a pic of her new manifold but right now she's nursing the baby,:hmm3grin2orange: :hmm3grin2orange:

Thanks Tom for clearing that up.

I read in the Stihl catalogue that the new MS280 has a so called 'intelligent motor management system", removing the need for a H adjuster on the carb. Do you know how it works ? I can hardly imagine that it's something like a governor on the older Stihl saws.

I'm not very much up on that system. I've read about it and it appears to be something in which the carb is controlled by electronic speed sensor mounted at the flywheel an controlled by a computor chip far as I can tell. Lake can tell you alot more about it than I can. I haven't ordered any of those saws yet so I'm not really up to snuff on that new system.

No "H" adjustment needle? I guess as if limiter caps were not enough. EPA? (Enough Poop Already) :chainsaw:
