I hope im posting this in the right spot here...
So dad has an old barn that was built in the 1920's/30's. It is approximately 60'X35' and all the wood that I have seen from it has been Douglas fir im not sure if there is other species in it or not. It also has some neat looking rustic roofing tin.
He also has a chicken coop and a few other out buildings.

My question is... Dad is wanting to sell all of it. What seems to be the going rate for what I have described? How do things like this work as far as dismantling, etc?

I can post pictures in a bit if some would like to see it.

Thanks for the help.

Can you give a description of the lumber? Are there heavy beams, or just dimension lumber? I'd hesitate to have the buyer dismantle the barn due to liability concerns, and if you do it, you need to consider the time & risk involved.

I disassembled a cow barn once and sold the lumber about $900 a hack. 1x8, 1x10, some 2x8 and some bigger beams. Mostly 8-10 ft stuff. Old heart pine and cypress. I don't really know if that was the usual price or not, but that's what I could get for it around here.

Thanks for the replies guys.
Most of the siding is 1x8 rough cut bat and board style. It is framed with 2x6 and 2x8's. As far as beams there is nothing massive probably like 4x6 and some 6x6's, all rough cut of course.

Like was mentioned dismantling is going to be the big factor about the price and I know have the buyer dismantle it is going to be quite the liability (forms will be written up if it goes that far).
Im just trying to come up with a price that is fair for everyone involved.
There must be a high demand for it, I had it posted on craigslist for 24 hours and I got about 15 phone calls and 5 emails. I have 2 potential buyers looking at it today.
