Clumsy as he'll in the tree, and they just don't hold a candle to a true arborist saw. You are looking at getting into the most dangerous industry in the world, per OSHA statistics, and looking to do it on the cheap with no training... with the best gear and good training, it's still dangerous.

I have a Fiskars 21'' Bow...thoughts?
I honestly thought that was a joke when I first read it...

Nope. Silky Sugoi is my first choice. Silky Tsurugi is second. Silky Zubat next.

Big step down to anything else. I've tried a Samurai saw. It was OK to start, but dulled quickly. Fanno saws are OK...teeth are too big. Corona and Fiskars are not professional saws...Corona pruners are OK...but they aren't Felcos if you are looking for pruners.

What are you chopping? I actually like my Fiskars axe...but if I were using it to chop stuff on a regular basis I'd be looking for an Gransfors Bruk or an old Collins.
