At 23 pounds Power Head Only, trees would be laughing at most users. Can ya even get it started, and then can ya lift it? BWAAAAHAHAHAHAHA

Oh, they are monsters. No doubt. I had the ms880. I must have been crazy, thinking I was still in my 30s or something. I tried to love it, but it was just to much. It was like owning a boat. Happy when I bought it, overwhelming happiness when I sold it.

Nothing wrong with a solid 50cc / 70cc two saw plan. The cold hard reality is that's all you need, just don't say that too loud.

That two saw plan has a big jump from MS200 to MS500.
Sure you wouldn't go 50cc 79cc combo? Not that the 200 isn't a good thing, I love my MS201 rear handle.

I’ll use the saws I own for my plan. My MS241CM would be in all the plans, but if I was climbing I’d swap it for the 200T or 201TCM with 14” or 16”.

Two saw plan:
MS241CM with 16” and MS441CM with 28” B&C.

Three saw plan:
Add 026 with 20” B&C.

Four saw plan:
Add MS362 with 24” B&C.

Five saw plan:
Add the MS650 with 32” or 36” B&C.

Six saw plan:
Add the 034 with 20” B&C.

If I had to pick a 1 saw plan, it’d be my MS441CM with a 20” and a 28” B&C.
Modern 70cc class saws are pretty versatile I think. It’s a little heavy for limbing work, but not awful.

You make a valid point, but Im an arborist. So my 2 saw plan requires a climbing saw even if your talking firewood because thats just how I think of and value the use of saws.

I love my 346xp's , 242xp's 357xps dearly but its easier for me to work to bridge that big gap on the ground that climb with a heavier saw.

When I started my business I had a ms200t and a 066 red eye. That was a jump

Yep, I'll always have at least one climbing saw and one falling saw in the line up. I used to only own a 192t and a 372xp. A 70cc saw can do almost all the groundwork if you need it, but it's hard to replace a top handle when you're in the tree.

I think I'm up to 10 or 11 running saws now and that includes 2 top handles. The 192t is long gone now, but it crapped out on the start of a climbing job...I had to wreck the tree out with 550xp. That taught me to have a back-up saw for every occasion. I prefer my 201t for larger removals and the 2511t for smaller stuff, but they can do each other's job if necessary.

When it comes to larger/falling saws, I've got back-ups for back-ups lol. I have about 6 saws in the 70-90cc range. I do prefer each one of the saws in certain situations, but they do have a lot of overlap...I often pick out my saws for the day purely on whatever I have the itch to run.

Based on my own experienced needs:

1 saw plan:
- MS241cm (ultimately versatile)

2 saw plan:
- Top handle (my most used saw, trees have a lot more branches than trunk)
- MS241cm

3 saw plan:
- Top handle
- MS241cm
- 70/80cc (at the saw buck/horse, felling bigger trees, and ripping/milling timber)
