Looking at possibly getting a 395xp. Where is the best place to get one? Or anyone have a used one in good shape they want to part with? Are the new ones autotune or regular carburetor? Our local dealer is kind of an ass. Only place I know where you can buy something and get an ass chewing at the same time. Lol.

395 is great saw! Loads of power and the clutch engagement is as solid as I’ve ever felt. Strong from top to bottom. I’d get one while they are available and under $2000.
No 395’s are autotune. They tune quite nicely with the Husqvarna splined tool. Their so-called replacement, the 592xp is Autotune.
Bought mine from CSD.

Always better to get from a dealer to get warrantee support etc but if you spanner your own saws another source is Robin Wood, you'll find him on her, good guy and good prices, I seem to remember about 1100US delivered PHO

There is a member on here that contacted me. I ended up buying one through him. Now I can't wait to get and try it out. I only got the powerhead. I have a 20" and 24" bar already. My father in law has a 36" bar that I can use too. Now I just gotta hide the big orange beast from the wife.

If your dealer is pricing them to you at anywhere remotely close to that smile and walk.......no run away
Dealers aren’t going to price them that way but if they are discontinued, that’s what you’ll be left with on eBay.

Some dealers will jack up the price when stuff gets discontinued. Especially something that is good and popular

The 585 has a service connector and I assume autotune. I have a 550xp and don't like the autotune. It's finicky. The 395xp is simple carburated and has an excellent track record.

Why, when the 395 is a proven good saw
No doubt, the 395 is great. It’s my favorite big saw. But it won’t be available forever. I like that the 585 is not autotune. I’m not very knowledgeable about the 5 series. In my opinion the 3 series were the best days for Husqy.

Looking at the site, it doesn’t appear to be autotune. Not 100% sure that it’s not though. Just gotta make my 395 last 30 more years. I’ll probably buy another the day they are officially discontinued.

It doesn't say it's autotune but it does say that there is a diagnostic port. It even shows a picture. Don't know why it would have that if its not autotune

It would be the only saw with it, not listing it in its features. Also doesn’t say anything on the flywheel cover like every other Autotune. Funny that it’s not a “XP” saw as well, like the old 365 and new 565. It’s like a separate class of saws.
