The 585 is carbureted. 85cc. The diagnostic port is to communicate hours of use, max rpm, number of starts, etc
I noticed it wasn't an xp. Guess we will see when it's out. I just wanted to a saw before to too many electronics and too complicated. It would be the only saw with it, not listing it in its features. Also doesn’t say anything on the flywheel cover like every other Autotune. Funny that it’s not a “XP” saw as well, like the old 365 and new 565. It’s like a separate class of saws.
That would actually be nice to get that kind of info. Then you would know the hours in the saw.The 585 is carbureted. 85cc. The diagnostic port is to communicate hours of use, max rpm, number of starts, etc
That is a simple fix. If you feel they are to be discontinued then buy 4 of them now. Run your existing 395 for say 5 years and then run your first new one. If at that point they have been discontinued then you could sell one other new one for probably 200% of the initial purchase. That still leaves you two new saws unused and a new one to use. Use that one for 10-15 years and repeat. Open the third new one and use it while selling the last new one for probably 400% of the initial purchase price.Looking at the site, it doesn’t appear to be autotune. Not 100% sure that it’s not though. Just gotta make my 395 last 30 more years. I’ll probably buy another the day they are officially discontinued.
At less than 20 hours a year, a couple will last me until I’m done. That is a simple fix. If you feel they are to be discontinued then buy 4 of them now. Sound crazy? Ask John Lambert if he wishes he would have done that with the tons of new 090 and 088 saws he had in the early 2000's
A $4500 investment now can really pay off down the road
I have a 394 xp like new with big bore kit and original cylinder and piston still good . With I believe 28” husqvarna light bar and chain (brand new ) I would take 950.00 for plus shipping .i have over 25 saws in very good to excellent condition I’m looking to find a good home for .No doubt, the 395 is great. It’s my favorite big saw. But it won’t be available forever. I like that the 585 is not autotune. I’m not very knowledgeable about the 5 series. In my opinion the 3 series were the best days for Husqy.
Going to be a tough sell at that price. But if it’s really nice, you might put the OEM cylinder back on it so it’s all original and get $750 maybe.
