The pantin huh??? I must say that at my age I could use some "help"
Question: Do you use with spikes?
Does the rope hockle?
Do you need a pair?

I am somewhat old school, but would to hear about this.
Thanks

oh yea......regarding the best purchase of the year, my Thomas mini loader. 500lbs capacity, used with forks....no more advil

You only need one.
NO, you don't use it with spikes.
What it does is grabs the roap, locks when you push down with your leg, allowing you to advance upwards with a friction hitch (pushing it up). Sorry early, tired, not enough coffee. I use mine on my right foot, with the split tail system. Got a pic..
The rope sometimes will not slide through , but with technique it gets easier. I have also found that the higher up you get, the easier it slides through. I also tie my pantleg up for less interference.

I need to revise my best purchase list. I'm gonna replace my Pantin with my 67' Chevy C50 dump. It's sooooo nice to not have to shovel chips anymore. I learned to footlock too so the Pantin doesn't come out for short ascents anymore.

Ya know, I kept mine too, thinking one day I would find a use for it. I'll add that to my list of things to use the Yale rope wrap for . Thanks!
