Well it is time to to pick your favorite thread of the 2006 season. It would be pretty tough to make it a poll since everybody has had thier hand in the cookie jar; So fire away.

My vote goes to Missing a few boys tonight.

I have to agree with SawTroll, that thread brought so many people together. Everyone seemed to step up and take accountability for the Pacific Northwest members. Many people offered actual help as well as good advice. The damage pics posted were impressive too. My vote goes to that thread!

I'm kinda partial to the "Missing" thread myself. Since I was livin'/workin' through the whole affair.

I was taken aback by how much that thread brought a lot of members together. I thank all of you for the support that was sent our way up here. It was truly heartfelt.:) :)

Okay... enuff sappy stuff. My vote is in.

Gary

I agree. Missing a few boys tonight is a favorite. But, I also think sawinredneck's " why wedges rock " is another. It demonstrates how a good man can humble himself. How many others out there would admit there mistakes. Glad your out there Andy !

The greater a person is, the more humble they should behave.

I guess you all are right, although DA PRINCE thread was fun, and broke some records here, it was just that,, fun. The Missing some boys thread was great and showed how good people can come together. Also a thread that comes to mind that shows the family mentality of this great forum was the "I been screwed" thread. A lot of great generosity shown there by the likes of Ekka and others. Thanks for the great threads and info from all.

Well I ain't gonna vote. I haven't been here long enough to get to know everybody real good. That "missing" thread was touching enough alright, but folks should be concerned about their neighbors and check on 'em in trying times. I would just like to express my gratitude to all the regulars here that take the time to post helpful answers to all the questions no matter how simple they are or silly they seem. Regulars like Lakeside, whom I would buy a saw from any day. Or SawTroll who is always quick to respond with accurate information. And Ekka with his links to some great video footage. Thall always seems ready to supply links to manuals and is quick to share his knowledge. SawinRedneck, Ultra, CaseyForrest and many others I can't even name. Thanks to all of ya'll for making this a nice place to hang out and learn things. I appreciate you all.

Well said.

I like the thread about the cheapo MS 390 that died while milling, so a 455 Rancher was pressed into service and saved the day.

Can't remember who started that one though....

After that, it'd be the "Missing" thread. Everyone was all worried about me...it made me feel special.:D

That guy with the 455 was everybody's favorite. Favorite something. And no we weren't worried about you. We were just trying to figure out a decent mourning period before we went in and divvied up your saws and hunting equipment.:hmm3grin2orange:

That is cold blooded!

But true. I bequeath all of my wedges to Redneck Andy! My 361 I leave to Clearance, caps and all! My long bars, I leave to my friend SawTroll. The rest, you guys divide amongst yourselves.
