My Husky 266SE has a plastic reuseable air filter that's been in the saw now since new (14 years). It seems to be OK and I clean it every time I use the saw (maybe every 3 or 4 tankfulls), but I still get dust down the carb throat even though I always use well sharpened chains. The gasket is good. Is there another filter that I can get for it that will help with this.

what about K & N filters - i know they make filters for some saws, but i havent been able to find one for my 372xp - is there one available??

Doug, I doubt your situation would improve with the addition of a K&N. In the industry I previously worked in (automotive filtration) it was widely acknowledged that K&N flowed more , but also filtered less effectively.
