And thus the entire point of this post. To find something other than the obvious suspects. To your point I've cleared many "bad running" issues with solenoid replacements but have not yet replaced a carb on a solenoid saw.When a saw is a habitual problem like this, it is time to look at other factors. I would not send this out without a new carburetor. Unless the fuel is that bad. It is lean. That has to be addressed.
And no, the saw is now mine to resolve. Will not be returning to full time service until it's "solved"
As I have another 1144 that was a bottom end failure prior to purchase. A much more common fail on these saws-
I've done 3 myself.
Which may very well be attached to the "lean run" issue as the bottom may not be getting enough lube. ??
