Stihl Wrenching
hey Lakeside, what is the difference between a 034 super av, and a 034 av?
As few little things, but mainly it's HP - the same bore and stroke as an 036, and cuts just like an 036.

Well I picked the 034 super av the other day. Have realy gotten a chance to use it but I will by next weekend at the latest. Its in almost perfect condition, a few scratches, but its in much better condition than the 026.
Hey, that was post 441!!! Kind of a sentimental post there.
I wonder if I'll feel the same when I get to 7900:newbie: Didn't even notice 5100
Sorry, I just had to use that newbie smile...
Maybe some day I will own another 026
I really like the 026/260 saws, There are a ton of 026s to be had.
And now that you have good saws you can take your time and find a good
used one. The best time to look for a saw is when you don't need one
Sounds like there is nothing that you can do to stop the vent from leaking? The vent on the older 026 will "leak - that's GOOD. If it's blocked - that's bad. The vent doesn't have an o-ring...
but I absolutely loved that saw.
I know a lot of guys think the 026 is out dated,
I'm with you I think the 026/MS260 is a great saw.
I've seen that posted here several times myself.
Of course I guess by that way of thinking a '55 T-Bird is an "outdated design" and the '68 302 camero is "underpowered" and a '64 corvette definitely "has way to many vibes"
Doesn't stop folks from thinking their great cars and wanting to own one.
I guess we should start referring to the 026/MS260 as a "classic"
Hey, since their classics now maybe I can sell mine for 6 times what they cost new. Anyone need a saw????????
Here's my signLakeside53 There is no chance - you are taking the front cover off - and drilling that!
