I'd rather have a 661. That said, I don't even need a saw that big! Ported 046/460 (or 461) is enough for me. A lighter saw is so much more useful.

I have a stock 461 and I'm pleased with that this whole adventure started when I went looking to buy a 261 and then I talked to the dealer and he said he had the 044 so I spent the extra money and got this

If you can trade it for a new 661 ,you still have a new in box saw ,but you can use it without feeling guilty ,and be in it almost half of shelf price ,win win all around

Then get a ported 261 and have your 461 ported. A bigger saw is not always the best answer. That's about the same money as a stock 661.

Depending on what you cut, the 461 may be the most useful saw of the 3. Add a 241 or 261 to it, keep the excess money for porting in the future if you ever wish to do it.

I hear a 461 with a dp muff cover and a richer tune (remove the limiters) runs quite strong, likely stronger than you will ever need.

Brad builds a bitchin 261 and it is a nice counterpart to a 441/461, I would be tempted by a 241 for the additional lightness on along day of limbing and smaller cutting.
