Mrs. WDO here.

Well, Mr. WDO has been out in the Man cave a lot lately. Says he's been working on bathroom stuff. I just went out to see how it was going and found him standing over this:

He looked up with a sheepish look on his face as I said "what are you doing". He says "working on getting this saw back together"..... I said, "I thought you were doing bathroom stuff". He goes on to mumble something about being shamed into getting it back together by you guys here. Is that right?
Well, if it is.... you should be ashamed of yourselves for putting WDO in the dog house!

Well, we just influenced him enough for a few more pictures :)

My dogs have it made better than I do most of the time. They always have food to eat, water to drink, and a place to sleep, most of the time its in a bed. haha.

Looks great! So when are you going to run it :chainsaw:

Slight roadblock tonight. I need a 5/16x3/4x24 Socket Head Cap Screw to bolt the handle assy to the crankcase. Can't find one in this town and a hex head won't work. I'm even having a hard time finding a place to buy just one on the net. I found one, but they want 50 cents for it and $10 shipping. :censored:

Oh, wait a minute! Be right back

I have most of a parts saw, can you get a picture of where the bolt goes?

The place where I need it is in the rear hole for the handle. It was farmerized at some point with a bolt and a couple of washers stacked. It was too long and never tighten down. That caused the bottom handle mount to require the repair. I'm not sure what was in there originally. But the hole it needs to go into is 5/16x24 and a regular hex head bolt is too large to get a wrench around once it's in the handle. I also need a fuel shutoff and muffler parts.

WDO- i have a valve core that may work for you.
the overall length is 1 1/2"
the knob is 5/8" dia.
the brass shaft is 3/16" dia.
the nut is 7/16" dia.
if you think this will work PM me your address and i'll get it out to you.
great build!

Cool, That might work! I just wanted to replace mine because it had no knob on top. I'll check my thread sizes.

That saw is looking purty. Hard to believe the hardware store doesn't have what you need. I have a parts 6-22 that MIGHT have that bolt if you need it, but I'm betting you already have it covered. I see a lot of the old Homies where people have stuffed any bolt they could find in that hole, drilled it out retapped, whatever. Don't know why it is a focal point for Hillbilly repairs.
