Let me restate what you are saying...

You want to stand atop a log; swing an Axe sharp enough to shave with; between your feet just below the boys play pen!!!

Better you than me.

Lou,
You're thinking of the "under hand" chop. One of my favorites.
My Dad always told me that there was a fine line between being brave, and crazy. He said he thought I walked with one foot on each side.

Hey, just wonderin if anyone is goin to the logger's rodeo here in the big 'ol town of Buckley this weekend! Haha :greenchainsaw:

Yeah i suppose i'll go again this year. I have three removals up in Bellevue in the morning, but have to swing by precision before he closes.
The only thing i didnt like about it last year is that they seemed to have drug it out too much. Its like i'd watch two guys climb a spar pole, wait twenty minutes then two more guys....
Just curious if you know if they changed that at all for this year?

But yeah i'll probably end up there.... I'm the only six eight guy that is also a climber so i'm sure you'll see me....haha

If you are only goin' to watch the climbin', then no it hasn't changed... Remember they are tryin' to run a complete show there.:)

Actually i wanted to see Bob run his Predator hot saw, but i was there for about an hour and it seemed like they were stretching things out pretty long with talking. thinking back i remember it was because they had to kill time because a bunch of guys couldnt get their saws to run.
Figured they could have done another event until these guys learned how to start a chainsaw.
Just made me wonder how many of these guys run saws for a living or if its just a weekend hobby...

But like i said i'll probably show up. They do also offer a pretty cool equipment display, log truck show and a good street fair.

Wow... you must be a busy guy... your time is obviously valuable so maybe you could help some of the "novice" guys start their saws.

The hot saws will run at the end of the show. Stick around busy dude... you might get to see the saws run.

Loaded up and headed out... Gots a 3 hour drive ahead of me to get there.

Gotta go pick up my kids from my ex's place and then I'll be on the road.

To find me at the Log Show... we camp in the National Guard Armory next to the Log Show grounds. Look for the 39 foot motorhome (my Dad's) with a bunch of drunk dudes near it. The "Termite" will be sittin' in the back of a dark green 1970 Chevy C10. Find the Termite... you find me.

See you guys there. Don't let no rain stop ya. We log in the rain, so the show goes on in the rain.

Gary

It's 12:35 and I'm off to the show. I'm wearing a black ball cap with "Basic Control Service" in red on the front. I'll be with a fabulous woman (wife) and a really handsome young man (grandson).

Guess what I saw at the Buckley Log Show?

Went to the Buckley log show today and I saw "A" Husky chain saw. So I guess at least 1 pro logger in these parts uses one. Looked lonely with all the Stihls surrounding it. 65 loggers entered 25 in the stock hot saw race and that is where the 1 husky showed up. Every other saw was a Stihl except Rotaxs Poulan.Rotax didn't run the poulan starter handle broke but was definately very fast with the big Stihl he ran. Guy at the log is brave Husky man.
