Did you ever get a manual with the parts list? I have the model called the "New Englander" It looks like a model LGA-24-H. My pump is shot but I tell ya, it doesn't owe me a thing!

Pete, The splitter is called the Little Giant Log Splitter, by JD Hydrolic. (Portage, Ohio).
All the gasoline models used a 5 hp Briggs & Stratton engine. They were 10 Ton models, but did make a version with 2-stage pump, which were 13 ton.

They made a two versions of the wheeled version also. One like yours, used lawn & garden wheels. And one used high way wheels & tires, and had a 1 7/8" ball hitch fastened right under the wedge.

The stroke was different on some models also. 20"-24". They even made a 3 pt. model with the gas engine on it. The one I have is run off the tractor hydraulics. I bought mine from a Ford/New Holland dealer back in fall of 1986.
It has never given me any problems at all.:)

Yours, is the only other one I have seen! I should go out and take some pics of mine, it is on the tractor now. Hope that helps out on the identification a little..
