Otherwise you'd only have a few months to cut there lol.Not in idaho heck I cut fire wood inbthe snow
Guys, can I use my chainsaw to wet wood or when it's raining?
If YES, then what are the things that I should keep in mind. Hit me with your tips.
Thanks
Yes you can. Simple as that. I've used my Farm Boss underwater (bar and chain only of course) to clear a creek.Guys, can I use my chainsaw to wet wood or when it's raining?

Do Not use Echo pole saws in the rain unless you like getting zapped. They are also know to zap you in the dry from bad ignition grounding wires.
Fun times
My 194T has seen days worth of rain in trees I was removing can’t say for sure if it affected it much as it does sometimes run a bit funky recently, but I think it was someone else’s gas I used haha. But if it’s running and warm, it will keep it mostly dry from the heat. And as long as it’s not torrential, it shouldn’t be a problem getting in the intake. I definitely wouldn’t store your saw where rain can get to it…Guys, can I use my chainsaw to wet wood or when it's raining?

Yeah, but the OP is a computer , pretty sure "he's" not really looking for work .If you are worried about running a saw in the rain, don't come looking for a job in the Pacific Northwest!
Just a couple days without rain, and we get shut down for high fire danger!
My favorite mentor, how is he doing these days I wonder.Yeah, but the OP is a computer , pretty sure "he's" not really looking for work .
The computer lol.My favorite mentor, how is he doing these days I wonder.
Don't get cockey byddy...
The computer lol.
I don't think you're too open to mentoring,...
When logging in Upper MI in the snow it can be challenging to keep the saw operating at peak. The humidity can ice carbs up, filters freeze over, triggers freeze, and all sorts of other weird stuff. A winter shroud kit and a Arctic or XPG saw really eliminated these issues. Just cutting firewood you really won't have any issues.Saws run fine in the rain and snow.
Its my snowbike I worry slightly about.
This was a blöwer powder day.

If a saw was running in blower powder 4ft deep like this bike does is exspect it to maybe have issues to.
Chances are most saw operators here go inside being weak frail and cold far before theres ever any saw issues.
These rabbit holes of pure BS are a delight to us! Keep them comments coming. Nobody, in construction, building America, works, in the rain. Why any person would go out and get their chainsaw, out of their garage, and wander the woods.....in the rain....is beyond funny.I think OP should quantify what degree of rain he's talking about. Lots of times I have kept cutting if some light drizzle or rain set in and I wanted to finish.
But purposefully going out in a steady rain = stupid. Unless of course, you are part of an emergency crew getting peoples lights back on!
Are you drunk right now, I know exactly who you are "buttercup". Although I know not why you changed your username or if it was changed for you because of poor behavior. No, you're not an honest guy, you continue to lying to yourself saying you'll be fine having another drink .I never intended too... just look at my face buttercup, I'm an honest guy.
