I know it's been stated before but I'll say it again, you don't have to wait on a flooded engine. Pull the plug, blow compressed air into the cylinder while inverted, blow the plug dry, put the plug back in, hold the throttle wide open no choke, pull the starter till she pops. It'll smoke like a chimney when it starts, but if all things are right, it'll start. Good luck.

It would not crank following the list to the letter. Nothing would pour out of the spark plug hole.

So I decided to put new carb on and while the carb was off I put a paper towel in the throat and tilted it back and it got soaked. 5-6 tablespoons maybe.

Yes I used some air. Nothing leaked out before I started and when I finished until I pulled the carb. I think removing the carb will allow it to actually dry.

That carb is going to sit next round out. So much fuel I am going to empty it a few times and let it sit and try again in morning.

You need to pressure test that carb of you don't have a replacement.

i have a new carb in hand. i will deal with the suspect carb later. i still suspect the coil too. coil tester delivery tracking shows delivery on friday and mail arrives 1-2pm and i will have an answer on the coil.

I agree, I will replace the carb and try again and move right along. Testing the coil was mentioned because that was my secondary bet. No good reason to wait on testing the coil. Witnessing the fluid soak that paper towel anyone would suspect it's the carb. I think a good quality spark is important too.

It might end tomorrow.

To catch you up I have tester coming I have a coil coming. Might not need coil. But wanted tester.

Will be watching, coils are " usually " go or no go. Reading back through previous posts, you had spark in the beginning as the pull starter was ripped from your hand. That would not happen without spark. You also stated you poured gas into the cylinder, that would immediately flood your engine causing no go situation, raw fuel will not burn in your engine. These are simple engines and troubleshooting takes practice and patience. It will be interesting to find out what happened to cause you're problem, have you done a compression test, vacum test, or a leak test on the carb? These are all critical in diagnosing the root cause of your problem along with checking your squish. Keep us posted.

I will keep post current.

To clear that up, I used an eye dropper and put a few drops of fuel in the cylinder to bypass the carb. Another time I used a squirt of starting fluid that contains oil. Neither worked.

Fought a 670 Jred felt like had great comp when pulling over. After all you and I went through did a comp. check. 87psi. Piston was scored around the corner where I couldn't see it through ex port. Agree w/3000 FPS do a comp check.
