After lurking for a while and learning a whole lot, I'd thought I'd post and ask--what are the starting point number of turns for Hi and Lo speed carb ajustments on a Homelite 360 Automatic? I have finally located some rubber parts and a vibration pin for mine, got a new chain on it, but need to adjust it so it doesn't bog off idle and doesn't bog under load wide open. Getting a new plug today and am looking for a new air filter. I am open to all suggestions on how to make a new air filter if I can't find one!

Thanks Ray--I tried those settings and they were OK for starters. I did a search on this saw and got some good instructions on how to tune the carb. I got it close in my yard, but it all fell apart out at the cut site. I had a heck of a time starting the saw, then keeping it running, then when I would get it going, I had to use half choke to get it up to speed to cut, then when I flipped it to run, it would accelerate during the cut for a few seconds, then die. Even if I got the choke back on I couldn't keep it running. Then it was a bear to start again. I pulled my arm off and gave up because I refuse to cut tired--even a little bit. I also had my 17 year old son pull his arm off too. New plug gapped right .025 and new gas--93oct with good oil--same stuff I run in it all the time--basically Yamaha YZ85 dirtbike gas with good oil, and I use this in the weed wacker and Lawnboy, Stihl AV031. I'm thinking maybe when the guy replaced a few of the vibration rubbers and a vibe pin, he may have moved the carb/cyl boot just enough to make a small hole? He also has a saw like this and that's what is wrong with his--he didn't switch them! Or could it be a clogged main? I guess I get two new boots and an air filter just in case.

I am about ready to bag these old saws and get a big and small Stihl--chainsaw maintenance is postponing my dirt bike riding time!

I'm working on weening my Dad off his 360's. I bought him a 7900 a bit ago... Now that he has started and run the 7900 it might be hard to get him to use the 360's.

Keep watching Ebay as there may be 3 nice 360's and a 450 Homey coming up soon.

In a couple weeks I'll introduce him to my 361, 441, and my 7900..

Hey, you guys feel free to offer your old Homies up here.

You either have a REALLY BAD boot or you have Boogers in the carb.

Its running lean so do not use it in this condition whatsoever.
